These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the PageQR website and service operated by PageQR (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using PageQR, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
PageQR is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows you to create mobile-friendly instruction pages with videos, PDFs, and links, and generate QR codes to attach to physical products. When scanned, the QR code directs users to your instruction page.
2. Accounts
You may create an account using a magic link (email) or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use PageQR to:
- Host or distribute illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, or deceptive content
- Engage in spam, abuse, or harassment
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts
- Circumvent usage limits or abuse the free tier
- Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
Fair Use: All plans have defined usage limits. We reserve the right to contact you or apply additional restrictions if your usage materially exceeds typical patterns for your plan tier (e.g., sustained traffic significantly beyond the estimated usage levels for your plan). We will always attempt to notify you and work toward a resolution before taking any action.
4. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create and upload to PageQR, including text, images, PDFs, and video links. By using PageQR, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the service (e.g., rendering your instruction pages to QR code scanners).
This license ends when you delete your content or close your account.
5. Free Tier & Powered by Badge
Pages created on the free tier display a “Powered by PageQR” badge in the footer. This badge may not be removed, hidden, or obscured on free-tier pages. Paid plans allow removal of the badge.
6. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). You can manage your subscription and payment method through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your dashboard.
Refunds: We offer a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied. After 14 days, refunds are provided at our discretion. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days’ notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
Plan feature changes: We may modify the features, resource limits, or capabilities included in each plan tier. For changes that materially reduce existing allocations, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email. If you are a paying subscriber and a change reduces your current plan’s allocations, your existing content and resources will not be deleted. You may choose to upgrade to a plan that accommodates your usage, reduce your usage to fit the updated limits, or cancel your subscription for a prorated refund of the remaining billing period.
Downgrades: When you downgrade to a plan with lower resource limits, your existing content is preserved but may become inaccessible until your usage is within the new plan’s limits. For example, if you downgrade from a plan allowing 50 pages to one allowing 3 pages, pages beyond the limit will be unpublished but not deleted. You may delete pages to bring your usage within limits, or upgrade again to restore access.
7. Service Availability
We strive to keep PageQR available and reliable, but we do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage for any plan. Free-tier accounts have no service-level agreement (SLA). We may introduce SLAs for enterprise plans in the future.
We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide advance notice for planned maintenance when possible.
8. Regulatory Compliance & Indemnification
PageQR is a content hosting and QR code generation tool. If you use PageQR for product instructions, you (the manufacturer or content creator) are solely responsible for ensuring your content meets all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PageQR from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the content you publish or from regulatory non-compliance related to your products.
9. International Users & Data Transfers
Data is processed and stored in the United States. For EU/EEA users: transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission. For UK users: transfers comply with the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA). For Canadian users: transfers comply with PIPEDA cross-border transfer requirements.
We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for all international data transfers.
10. Canadian Users (PIPEDA)

- Withdrawal: You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting privacy@pageqr.io

In the event of a data breach involving personal data:
- EU/EEA/UK users: We will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR
- Canadian users: We will notify the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and affected individuals as required by PIPEDA

13. Right to Restrict Processing
EU/EEA/UK users may request restriction of processing of their personal data in certain circumstances, including:
- When accuracy of data is contested
- When processing is unlawful but you oppose deletion
- When we no longer need the data but you need it for legal claims
- When you have objected to processing pending verification
To request restriction, contact privacy@pageqr.io.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon deletion, your pages and QR codes will stop functioning, and your data will be removed within 30 days.
We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these Terms. If we ever decide to discontinue the PageQR service entirely, we will provide at least 90 days’ notice and allow you to export your data before shutdown.
15. Data Export
You have the right to export your data at any time. We provide data export functionality that allows you to download your page content, links, and associated metadata in a standard format.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageQR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
For EU/EEA residents, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of PageQR after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
